​The delegation assigned to sight the new moon of Syawal 1447 Hijrah comprised Awang Haji Shaharuddin Khairul bin Haji Anuar, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Infrastructure, Housing and Professional, Ministry of Development; Syar'ie Judges and officials from the Syariah Courts, State Judiciary Department, the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Survey Department, Ministry of Development.

The delegation was unsuccessful in sighting the new moon of Syawal. The delegations were at designated locations in Brunei Muara District; Tutong District and Belait District.
